Temporary Casting Assistant

Location: Hybrid, 601 2-3 days

ASAP - 6 months

Position Purpose and Scope

The Casting Assistant will support the casting lead in sourcing models and talent across all creative imagery, campaign, editorial, PDP, and content. There will be a high volume of women's and men's castings for campaigns and editorial output of Ralph Lauren Agency. To facilitate these exercises, this person will continuously evolve and maintain documents tracking project statuses, budgets and talent. This person will need to support the Agency and Design teams in casting models and talent for all digital content across Ralph Lauren owned and operated channels (RL.com, Out of Home, Print, and Social). The person will service the casting needs of Polo, Lauren, Collection, Purple Label, Home, and more.

Key Responsibilities

• Externally communicate and request and organize model materials, internal request, project details
• Build presentations of talent to be presented to the heads of brand, this is inclusive of sourcing talent images and collect all information pertinent to the particular project at hand
• Maintain and organize internal systems to track projects and talent
• Manage talent contracts from distributions to execution
• Identify potential talent for projects when needed and potentially take on projects aloneRegularly provide updates for all project stakeholders.
• Schedule and lead productive meetings that push projects towards completion

Requirements

• Experience in negotiating competitive day rates, scheduling and usage is a plus
• Advance knowledge in Casting or agency experience within content, fashion, digital media, advertising, and fashion industry
• Interest in the editorial and advertising talent landscape across larger fashion/luxury and industry facing outlets as well as pop culture
• Experience with deck building in InDesign and or keynote
• Proficient in Excel
• Ability to work under pressure on multiple casting requests, remain focused
• Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor
• Proactive and solution-oriented problem solver
